When are you being your true self?

Being ourselves in the modern world is not very easy. We adapt our behavior depending on the environment we are in and we play different roles throughout the day – an employee, a boss, a teacher, a parent, a friend etc. But we can be truly happy only when we are not pretending to be someone else.


Let’s see what does it mean being yourself:

  • You accept who you are.
  • You love yourself.
  • You know your value.
  • You are not afraid of being judged.
  • You don’t let other people influence you.
  • You don’t compromise for something that is not right for you.

 
When we are uncertain or afraid, we may become easy victims of manipulations. While on the contrary, when you know your value and you trust your opinion and your choices, you will not agree on something that is not good for you. Additionally, when you are confident and objective about yourself, you perceive criticism and feedback from a constructive perspective. And you can tell the difference between feedback and simple rudeness or jealousy.

It’s amazing to be yourself because you feel relaxed and you attract those people in your life who genuinely love you for who you are.
