Do you ever feel jealous of something or someone? Well, this is great! Because by accepting this feeling, you can effectively project your deeper emotions, insecurities and motivations. Let’s see below how to transform this negative feeling and what we mean by an effective jealousy.

Firstly, let’s define jealousy. It is a toxic feeling that gets us very uncomfortable. Generally, we are jealous of people who in comparison with us are in better conditions and usually with much less effort. In our opinion they are more beautiful, more successful, more popular, richer, in a better relationship, have better luck in life and so on.

So, what to do with this feeling?

Step No 1. TAKE A BREATH.

The modern world is the world of comparison. We want to be “not worse” than others, not only to cover our basic needs, but to be recognized and accepted by the society. This is our reality and we have to deal with it. So, take a moment to breathe and relax.

Step No 2️. BE RATIONAL.

Sometimes jealousy makes us blind and we don’t see that the other person has input a lot of effort to become what he is now. For example, a successful athlete dedicates most of his time to training since a very young age. Even the greatest singers and actors practice every day to sustain and develop their skills.

Step No 3️. ACCEPT AND LOVE YOURSELF.

Learn to love yourself for what you are. If you are not happy with yourself for some reason, work on yourself to reach the desired state. Only by accepting who we are and loving ourselves, we can move away from jealousy. Write down at least 5 things that you admire in yourself.

Step No 4️. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE.

Learn to be responsible for your actions. Don’t leave things to fate. It goes both to failures and success. You admit your mistakes and learn from them. You recognize your achievements and build your confidence. When you realize that you are in charge of your success and happiness, then nothing can distract you.

Step No 5️. MAKE A LIST OF 10 THINGS THAT YOU ARE GRATEFUL FOR.

Have you thought that there are people who are jealous… of you??? In our lives we take many things for granted and don’t appreciate them.
